Moon Shadow Lodge
The Moon Shadow Lodge was originally a barn constructed circa 1868. Beginning in 2004 the lodge was renovated to serve as a “micro” conference center to accommodate day use and overnight retreat or workshop guests. The main floor of the lodge has the feel of an Adirondack Great Camp and retains its original post and beam structure.
The grounds boast lush perennial flower gardens and fruit trees. Strawberries, blackberries and raspberries flourish as native plants. The woods are alive with birds and small wildlife. The acreage surrounding Moon Shadow Lodge is home to several protected species of plant life and animals. A unique feature of the Adirondack's is quaking bogs which are present on the property. As you look for native ginsing, lady slippers and unique mushrooms, you may also encounter beaver, deer, black bear, mink, raccoons, wild turkey, ptarmigan, pileated woodpecker, red fox, brook trout, or great blue heron who are local residents.
The roughly 37 acre property features a Civil War era family cemetery, rainbow trout-stocked pond, and stream with native brook trout. Walking/snowshoeing trails run through the property bordered by the Adirondack Park. Miles of hiking is available to protected wilderness lakes and spectacular mountain views.

Wolf Pond Stables
Wolf Pond Stables invites you to a holistic approach to working and accepting the idea that “Horses Are Fine Just The Way They Are.”
It’s more than just about the horse It really dips into the personal development side of things. You learn about yourself, you learn about communication, about leadership, about truthfulness, about consequence and responsibility. You learn about love and imagination. The horse becomes the animal that tells you the truth about yourself in all these categories.
People can start to realize this is what they’ve been looking for in all their relationships. Balancing love, language and leadership in equal doses. The program we offer here at Wolf Pond Stables allows a person and a horse "a living model" so they can practice and become fluent in their abilities in all relationships, not just the horse relationships.
Their work focuses on Four Keys in life: Relationship, Understanding, Communication, and Trust.
1. Relationship: Foundation of 4 Principles; primary consideration in everything you do with your horse and life.
2. Understanding: Understanding that horses are prey animals and learning to see the world from the horse’s point of view.
3. Communication: To have a good relationship with your horse, you need to understand him and be able to communicate with him. With our program you will learn to communicate with horses the way they communicate with each other.
4. Trust: Horses are herd animals and are therefore instinctively comfortable following a leader. We teach you how to become a horse’s trusted “alpha” so that the horse feels safe with you and will willingly do what you ask.

Stony Creek Inn
Located in the heart of Stony Creek, commonly known as the “Four Corners,” the Stony Creek Inn is a special place. Over 150 years ago you could sit on the porch of the Inn, gaze at the surrounding mountains, breathe the fresh air, listen to the tunes of live music, smell the "good cookin'" wafting from the kitchen, visit with friends & strangers alike, and just kick back and enjoy life.
Today you can enjoy those same pleasures sitting on the porch of the Stony Creek Inn.
Owner / Operator, Dot Bartell & her husband John Fickel, have run the Inn for 30 years. Along with veteran employees Jack Moran & Val Lanfear they have provided a unique establishment with simple roots; good food & music, reasonable prices & a comfortable friendly setting to relax and enjoy family and friends.Stony Creek Inn customers have nothing and much in common. They are diverse in age, culture, background, talent, careers & finances.
